Celebrating Black Heritage at Hanover High School

For Black History Month artist, Nosaj Authentics Brand led a Paint by Numbers Experience at Hanover High School that combined art, education and community engagement. The interactive project gave students the chance to help create a large-scale mural while learning about historic Black figures who have shaped American history.

The mural’s theme focused on African American icons and pioneers celebrating their achievements and highlighting their impact on society. As students painted, conversations about diversity, inclusion and cultural contributions flowed naturally making the experience both meaningful and memorable.

The finished piece now serves as a visual reminder of the importance of representation and the power of art to bring people together in celebration of history and heritage.
