Creative Renovation of Kingdom Kids at Speaking Spirit Ministries

Jason Ford recently completed a month-long creative renovation for Speaking Spirit Ministries’ Kingdom Kids at the Henrico Campus in Richmond, VA. The transformation reimagined the youth wing which serves children ages 2–15, into a vibrant, inspiring environment that reflects the church’s mission and values.

With more than 17 years of experience painting interiors and a deep love for interior design, Jason brings a unique eye to projects like this. His background allows him to approach makeovers with both an artistic vision and an understanding of how colors, layouts and finishes can shape the feel of a space.

Drawing inspiration from the ministry’s core culture - The 5 H’s (Honor, Honesty, Hospitality, Help, Hope) and The 6 C’s (Connect, Contribute, Christianize, Consecrate, Cultivate, Communicate) he designed each hallway and classroom to be more than visually engaging. Every color, theme and custom illustration was intentionally chosen to communicate these values in ways children could experience and connect with daily.

Each room was given its own unique theme while maintaining a cohesive look through the use of the church’s brand colors. Murals and graphic elements were tailored to the age group in each space ensuring the art was both relatable and uplifting.

The result is a welcoming, message-driven youth wing where creativity and faith meet. Kingdom Kids now offers an environment that not only captures attention but also plants seeds of inspiration, connection and hope for every child who walks through its doors.
